Roof day, hour by hour.
Here is what happens at your house, and the small list of things we ask of you.
-

The night before
- Keep the driveway clear. We need it to load materials and clean up, and we tell you in advance when materials arrive.
- Move patio and pool furniture, potted plants and garden tools away from the house.
- Take pictures, plates and figurines off walls and shelves. The hammering can shake them loose.
- If your attic is used for storage, cover what's up there. Some debris can fall through slat decking.
-

Early morning: the crew arrives
- Be prepared for the noise. Crews start early and the hammering is constant. You may want to plan some time away.
- Keep children and pets away from the work area.
- Please make sure there is power outside. Check the breakers for exterior plugs, or run a short, heavy-duty extension cord through a window or under the garage door.
-

All day: never more open than we can close
- Our crews are instructed not to tear off more shingles than they can replace in one day.
- For each day it rains or snows, the work is delayed. Your house is never left open to the weather.
-

Before we leave: the magnet
- Nails that fall from the roof are picked up with a magnetic roller. We make every effort to get them all.
- Tip: the softer your grass when we start, the more nails we find when we leave.
